Storytime is more than just a quick outing to hear a story. It helps children, parents, and caregivers thrive in early literacy for the next generation. Singing, dancing, music, reading, coloring, and talking all help create the base knowledge that is needed when learning to read. Hearing the voice inflections and watching the reader's facial expressions help early learners understand how to comprehend the emotion or action being presented in the story. Often times at home you will hear them mimmick the way their favorite story tellers portrayed those same emotions and actions.

At Turlock Storytime, we are excited to be a part of your family's traditions and memories. We promise to bring fun, encouraging stories, read by our amazing sponsors and local community heroes, like firemen, police officers, teachers, and city officials. With fun activities, great stories and delicious snacks, we know that Wednesday afternoons will quickly become your family's favorite day of the week.

Please join us on Wednesdays at 1PM at Alegria Performing Arts Academy, located at 320 E. Main St, Turlock CA. Refreshments for the children will be provided by La Mo Cafe, and books will be available from Lightly Used Books. Bring a blanket or a mat to sit on and enjoy the story
